West Central Community Action's (WCCA) Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. Participants must be at least 55 years of age, unemployed, and have a family income of no more than 125% of the federal poverty level.
SCSEP participants gain work experience at non-profit, public, and governmental agencies which include, schools, child care centers, senior centers, and employment agencies. Participants work 20 hours a week and are paid the highest of the federal, state, or local minimum wage. This training leads to unsubsidized employment opportunities for participants.
