The Page County Outreach Center provides client intake, client assessment, client referrals, and coordinates with other community resources. The outreach center has a certified Family Development Specialist, assisted by senior aides and occasionally community volunteers. Staff work closely with local organizations to insure non-duplication of services and to maximize resources for resolving local poverty issues.
The goal is to strive to assist low-income families of Page County in becoming self-sufficient. A wide variety of programs, services, and referrals reflect this accomplishment.
Programs offered through the Page County Outreach Center are: clothing room, LIHEAP, Weatherization, and utility assistance. In addition, Energy Wise kits are distributed.
Clients may have access to the clothing room once a week.
Special projects include a Holiday Gift Drive during the month of December. In addition, through the Salvation Army money is collected to help needy families.
This office accepts applications for the South Iowa Regional Housing Authority (SIRHA).
Anyone is welcome to drop by, inquire about services, and speak with staff. Also, please inquire about any of West Central's other programs such as Head Start, WIC, Senior Aide Employment, and Child Care referrals.
