The Family Development and Self Sufficiency (FaDSS) Program is an intensive in home program for families receiving income assistance from the Department of Human Services. FaDSS provides services to families who are working their way toward self-sufficiency.
Certified Family Development Specialists develop a comprehensive system of support services for each family. The services are provided to promote, empower, and nurture the family until they can support themselves and provide a healthy reintegration into the community. FaDSS emphasizes and builds upon the strengths of families by assisting them in setting and attaining goals. This strong belief in the family unit is the foundation of the Certified Family Development Specialist's partnership with each family.
